I am an associate professor of philosophy at Grove City College. Previously, I was a post-doctoral research fellow with the Beacon Project at Wake Forest University. I received my Ph.D. in philosophy from Baylor University, where I wrote my dissertation, Cultivating Character, under the supervision of Robert C. Roberts. My current research areas are ethics, philosophical psychology (moral and intellectual character, emotions), and philosophy of religion, and I have broader teaching interests that also include ancient philosophy, medieval philosophy, and Søren Kierkegaard. When I'm not philosophizing, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing tennis, playing guitar, and drinking good coffee.
